Prep students to compete in engineering competition at Idaho State on Feb. 19
The Idaho State University College of Engineering will host its annual National Engineers Week Student Competitions for high school students on Thursday, Feb. 19.

Idaho State's Ph.D. program in clinical psychology receives top ranking

The journal Psychological Reports has ranked Idaho State University's Ph.D. program in clinical psychology first out of 207 programs nationwide and in Canada on its students' performances on a national professional examination.
"I think it is phenomenal that Idaho State University's program was ranked No. 1 out of 207 schools listed in this report," said Kandi Turley-Ames, Ph.D., chair of the ISU psychology department. "This is an objective measure of our program by Psychological Reports, and it just shows our students are working hard and getting topnotch training in their field by our faculty, adjuncts and affiliate faculty." ISU's Maria Fletcher named Idaho representative for NAFSA
Maria Fletcher, director of international programs at Idaho State University, has been named Idaho State Representative for Region I of the NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
NAFSA Region 1 includes Idaho, Alaska, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. (read more…)

Rocky Mountain Learning developed to meet demand for online continuing education
A new online meeting and continuing education service provider called "Rocky Mountain Learning (RML)" has been develop by the Institute of Rural Health at Idaho State University.
"We could not have pick a better time to start RML," said Kenny Cutler, Rocky Mountain Learning's manager and co-developer. "With the current economy, professionals are looking at online training platforms as a cost effective way of continuing their education compared to traditional conferences and workshops." Idaho State College of Technology releases fall 2008 dean's list
Marilyn Davis, Ed.D., dean of the College of Technology at Idaho State University has announced the dean's list for fall 2008.
To qualify for the dean's list, students must complete at least 12 semester credits and receive a grade point average of 3.66 or higher.

Idaho Environmental Education Conference at ISU March 6-7
On March 6-7 the Idaho Environmental Education Association (IdEEA) will present its annual conference at the Rendezvous Complex at Idaho State University.
Gathering under the theme "Environmental Service: Bring learning to life," the conference will focus on how educators can make service activities more educative, while also exploring a range of other environmental education issues, opportunities and accomplishments. The conference will feature displays by educational resource providers, presentations of exemplary environmental education programs, a showcase of K-12 student work and educational field trips in the area. College of Pharmacy spaghetti feed, raffle, auction fundraiser set Feb. 13

Earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Idaho State University College of Pharmacy takes years of discipline, dedication to the profession and for some, many hours of studying the curriculum outside of classroom. However, pharmacy students from the College's Professional Pharmacy Student Alliance (PPSA) take time from their busy schedules each year to assist an ill area youth make a dream come true with the annual student-sponsored Spaghetti Feed Raffle and Auction fundraiser.
In its 16th year, the 2009 Spaghetti Feed Raffle and Auction will be held on Friday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Ballroom.
